In XPS operations, you may occasionally need to add or change a setting in the SPARCS Settings.txt file. Before you change the settings file, you should check the current status of the setting.
To check the current status of a setting:
In the XPS client, from the File menu, select Diagnostics, and then select List "SPARCS Settings" Available.
In the "SPARCS Settings" Available window, scroll down the list of settings to find the one that you want to review.
If the setting is in the state you want, close the "SPARCS Settings" Available window. No changes are necessary.
If you need to change the setting value, continue with the following steps:
Verify the default state for the setting. See Verify setting definitions (on page 1).
Modify the SPARCS Settings.txt file, then restart XPS (on page 1) and the XPS clients (on page 1). See Change the SPARCS Settings.txt file (on page 1).
